Roma coach Jose Mourinho will be looking to avenge his team’s 3-0 loss at the hands of Inter in Serie A last December when he and his team travel to the San Siro this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the Giallorossi are motivated by showing how much progress they’ve made since that lopsided result.

Inter travelled to the Italian capital early in December during their run of eight straight wins in Serie A, and they faced a Roma team who were out of sorts and missing several key players through injury or suspension.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Nerazzurri not only took three points from the Stadio Olimpico, but also did so by winning by an emphatic 3-0 scoreline.

Inter also knocked the Giallorossi out of the Coppa Italia, but it is the Serie A defeat the Mourinho and his team haven’t forgotten about.

They will be looking to come to Milan and face this match, a vital clash for both Inter’s Scudetto pursuit and Roma’s Champions League hopes, in the spirit of avenging their last Serie A result against the Nerazzurri.
