For the third time this season, Roma coach Jose Mourinho declined to hold a standard pre-match press conference out of respect for fans of his former club Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach decided not to agitate his positive relationship with Nerazzurri supporters, though he is fully committed to getting a win for the Giallorossi.

Mourinho remains on good terms with Inter’s fans, with the coach always speaking very highly of his two seasons in charge at the Nerazzurri, and the feeling reciprocated by the supporters.

The Portuguese coach, who has had a number of frank moments addressing controversies and grievances in press conferences, has decided for a third time not to hold one prior to a match with his former side.

Mourinho will be doing everything to take three points away from the San Siro after losing against the Nerazzurri at the prior two attempts so that his team can keep the pressure on Juventus in fourth.

However, the coach is mindful of preserving his positive relationship with Inter supporters and declined to speak to the press yesterday as is conventional.
