Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is increasingly showing that he is a very influential figure at the Nerazzurri, and a leader in the team.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who argue that the Croat is leading by example to push the Nerazzurri on towards a second consecutive Serie A title.

Brozovic is not always the most vocal presence on a pitch, but he has become a player who teammates can turn to as an option in possession, and who can be relied on to deal with difficult defensive situations.

Moreover, the 29-year-old has also shown his confidence and composure in front of goal by finding the back of the net in two successive Serie A matches to further broaden the scope of his contributions.

Brozovic is a player whose head former coach Antonio Conte remarked could not be gotten inside, but when allowed to play on his own terms the midfielder has been leading the entire team virtually from his own penalty area to the final third.
