Inter President Steven Zhang is very pleased with how the team is playing but still focused on getting the job done over the remaining matches ahead.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia outside the Formula 1 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, Zhang gave his approval to the way that coach Simone Inzaghi and the players have gotten the Nerazzurri back into commanding form.

Zhang has been in Milan since January, where he has been close to the team through a number of ups and downs.

Not long after the President arrived in Italy, the Nerazzurri won the Supercoppa Italiana against Juventus, although a downturn in form followed through February and March which saw their title hopes cast into serious doubt.

Now, however Inter have momentum on their side again, and their fate is in their own hands in the Scudetto race while they also face the Bianconeri in another final, this time the Coppa Italia in just a couple weeks time.

Zhang called yesterday evening’s win over Roma a “Fantastic evening and match against Roma.”

He explained that “Italians support Ferrari, and I’m here to follow the race.”

“I want to congratulate Inzaghi and the players, now we have to put our heads down, stay focused, and keepgoing on the road we’re on,” he continued.

“Let’s not say the word Scudetto right now,” he cautioned, “we’re focused and our attention is on winning the next match against Bologna.”
