Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries has continued to prove that he’s been one of the most impactful signings in Serie A this season with his well-taken goal and overall performance against Roma yesterday evening.

The 26-year-old was given a 7.5/10 in the player ratings for the match in Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who suggest that he has marked himself out as the “signing of the season.”

Dumfries arrived from PSV last August as the chosen candidate to take over from Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the team following the Moroccan’s blockbuster sale to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Dutchman did not settle in right away, but especially over the second half of the campaign he has been indispensable and has looked like a real bargain.

On five goals and four assists in Serie A now, Dumfries has looked like a real candidate for the signing to have added the most to any team in the division.
