Italian journalist Andrea Di Caro feels that Inter are looking more and more like the best-placed team to go on and win the Serie A title and that the pressure is all on AC Milan to win against Lazio this evening.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, as reported by FCInter1908, Di Caro characterized the Nerazzurri’s recent form as “frightening” and argued that if the Rossoneri don’t win this evening then the title race is likely over.

Inter’s fate is still in their own hands in the Scudetto race after they beat Roma 3-1 yesterday evening, and they’ve now gotten perhaps their most difficult match left out of the way, at least on paper.

There are still five matches to go and none of them will be truly straightforward, but as much as the recent results, the performances that Inter have put in to get them suggest that they could have what it takes to win them all.

There is virtually no margin for error for either the Nerazzurri or the Rossoneri now, but it is currently the former who are showing the most emphatic form.

“Inter today look like the team from December once again,” Di Caro said, “they are strong in attack and in midfield, and their form in recent matches has been frightening.”

Of the pressure on the Rossoneri, he gave the view that “If they do not win against Lazio, then it is likely that the title race will be done.”
