Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi Warns Squad About Lapses In Concentration Over Run-In Of Season, Italian Media Report

Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has cautioned his team to avoid any let-ups in their concentration and intensity over the remainder of the season.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach has particularly admonished the team over the last few minutes against Roma in which they conceded an unnecessary goal.
The Nerazzurri were comfortable in their lead against the Giallorossi, especially after Lautaro Martinez scored a third goal for them in the second half, and they saw the game out for the most part.
However, during the final few moments of the match they allowed Roma to gain more of a foothold in the match in an attacking sense, and the Giallorossi made good on this by scoring through Henrikh Mkhytarian.
The goal counted for little in the end as it was the Giallorossi’s only goal and Inter secured the three points, but it still made the final few minutes more stressful than they needed to be.
Inzaghi pointed to this goal and the lapse that allowed it to happen as exactly why he is stressing that they never let their level drop even when they feel comfortable in matches, which little margin for error in their season.
