Inter Considering Signing Juventus Midfielder Federico Bernardeschi On A Free Transfer, Italian Media Report

Inter are targeting Juventus midfielder Federico Bernardeschi on a free transfer this summer with the 28-year-old’s contract talks on standby with the Bianconeri.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta is particularly keen on a move for the midfielder should he become available.

Bernardeschi’s situation in Turin is up in the air, with the player’s current deal set to run out at the end of June and no indication that he will agree a new contract.

The 28-year-old’s agent Federico Pastorello is beginning to look around for a possible new destination for him for next season, and the Nerazzurri are one of the most likely possibilities.

Marotta brought Bernardeschi to Juventus from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017, and he could be interested in moving the midfielder to a second club in the form of the Nerazzurri, should he not extend his contract with the Bianconeri.
