Inter could cash in on striker Lautaro Martinez this summer even if the player does not wish to leave the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Correire dello Sport, who report that Martinez could be the big name player sold during the transfer window even if he does not push for an exit.

Inter look to be all but certain to sell a major player from their squad this summer given the financial targets that they have set for the transfer window, and Martinez looks to be the likeliest to go.

The Argentine has reportedly been annoyed by the transfer speculation, especially given that he is far from unhappy at the Nerazzurri.

However, with the 24-year-old’s value high and interest coming in from the English and Spanish top flights, he could be on his way.

The situation could be similar to that of Romelu Lukaku last summer, when the Belgian had no interest in leaving Inter but was eventually convinced when a massive offer came in for him from Chelsea.
