Inter striker Felipe Caicedo will not be part of the squad to face Bologna on Wednesday, as he will be ruled out due to illness.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 33-year-old has not trained today and will not be ready to return in time to face the Rossoblu.

Caicedo missed out on the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 win over Roma on Saturday as he had been suffering from a gastrointestinal illness, and it had not been clear whether he would be able to make his return.

However, the Ecuadorian was not ready to make his return to training today so it looks clear that he will not be ready to play when his team travel to Emilia-Romagna on Wednesday.

It remains to be seen if Caicedo will be back fit in time for his team’s Serie A clash with Udinese over the weekend or if the illness will still be keeping him out.
