Italian journalist Paolo Condo believes that Inter are now the team best-equipped to go on and win the Serie A title.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, Condo gave the view that the Nerazzurri have put Napoli behind them while they have a stronger foundation than city rivals AC Milan.

Napoli’s loss to Empoli over the weekend appears to have put them out of the running for the Serie A title, while the wins by the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri against Roma and Lazio respectively have kept them neck-and-neck.

Inter’s fate is in their own hands in the title race, but even one slip-up could be enough for the Rossoneri to take advantage and take control back in the title race.

In the view of Condo, however, the Nerazzurri are the stronger side of the two and should be able to see out the run-in whilst their city rivals could run out of steam.

“Inter are stronger, and they very much give the impression that Wednesday’s match will be where they take the decisive step-up in pace,” he writes.

“If this is what happens it will be fully deserved, because while Napoli have melted at the crucial time, and Milan continues to run beyond their capacity,” he adds.
