Inter could decide to keep striker Andrea Pinamonti in the squad next season as backup for Edin Dzeko.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are contemplating reintegrating the 22-year-old into the team rather than selling him when he returns from loan with Empoli.

Pinamonti’s form with newly-promoted Empoli this season has seen him take a major step forward, and the striker has attracted significant transfer interest.

The 22-year-old has score twelve goals so far this season for the Tuscans.

However, while the Nerazzurri are considering the possibility of selling Pinamonti to fund other transfer business, he could also be given a chance in the first team.

The Nerazzurri are looking to bolster their attack going into next season and a striker capable of deputizing for Dzeko is one of the main profiles they are looking for, something for which Pinamonti could be suitable.
