Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi can finally count on a real wealth of attacking options at his disposal over the few remaining matches of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that there is no longer a clear starting duo of Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez in attack.

Inter went into the season with four forwards with the quality to start once Joaquin Correa was signed from Lazio, but that is not always how things worked out in practice.

Correa and Alexis Sanchez had missed significant numbers of matches through injury, whilst the form of Correa made it hard to break into the starting eleven ahead of Martinez or Dzeko.

However, the 27-year-old has put in strong displays recently partnering alongside both Martinez and Dzeko, and is now clearly in contention for a starting berth.

Inzaghi will be pleased that he is now able to turn to several forwards both from the start and from the bench who can make the different in the run-in of the Serie A title race.
