Inter are targeting Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer as a backup to Marcelo Brozovic in their squad.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 25-year-old is one of the main names that the Nerazzurri are considering to deputize for Brozovic next season.

Ceballos is out of favour in the Spanish capital and is looking for a move to a team where he will receive more playing time going forward.

The likes of his former club Real Betis as well as Sevilla and Roma are among the clubs interested in bringing the Spaniard in, but the Nerazzurri are also keenly aware of his situation.

Signing a versatile midfielder who would be able to fill in for Brozovic when the Croat is injured, suspended, or needs a rest is a major priority for the summer transfer window and the Nerazzurri have identified Ceballos as having the right profile.
