Juventus head coach Max Allgeri feels that even though AC Milan have done very well to make themselves serious Scudetto contenders, Inter are still the favourites for the Serie A title.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, reiterated that as he has stated throughout the season, he considers the Nerazzurri to be the team best-placed to go on and win the Serie A title.
Inter find themselves locked in a very right title race with their city rivals, the Nerazzurri having their fate in their hands if they win all their matches but the Rossoneri able to pounce on any slip-ups and having the head-to-head advantage.
From this position either team could very easily go on to win it, and both teams gave their title push a big push with their wins over Roma and Lazio over the weekend.
However, for Allegri it remains the Nerazzurri who should still be seen as the favourites to go all the way.
“It didn’t take long to figure out which team were the favourites for the Scudetto,” he said. “I’ve always said Inter.”
“AC Milan are having an extraordinary season, we have to congratulate them,” he added. “But Inter are the favourites. I’ll repeat, anything can happen but Inter are favourites.”
