Nerazzurri-Owned Midfielder Tibo Persyn: “Good Memories From My Time At Inter But Have To Be Realistic About Return”

Inter-owned midfielder Tibo Persyn is glad that he got a chance to spend time at the Nerazzurri, but he doesn’t expect that he has a future with the clubs.
Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, Persyn reflected on the impact that his time with the Nerazzurri had on him.
Persyn joined Inter from Club Brugge during the summer of 2018 as a youth midfielder and spent time with the Primavera side though he never made an appearance with the senior team.
Nevertheless, the 20-year-old feels that he benefitted from the experience of training alongside a number of top-class players during his time at the club, and is happy with the experience.
Now, Persyn is on loan with Belgian side Westerlo, having spend the first half of the campaign back on loan at his former team Club Brugge, and he is prepared to try and build a career for himself outside of Inter.
On his best memories from the Primavera side, Persyn said that “I have several, I loved being there. But I think the best ones are linked to my goal against Milan and the one against Borussia Dortmund in the Youth League.”
Asked about the difference between playing for the Primavera side and senior football, Persyn said that “The big one is that you have to think faster. But I also learned that you have to make the most of your best qualities.”
On his memories of training with the Inter senior team, Persyn spoke of “The first day I was called upto have a session with them. It was amazing!”
“It’s great training with great players,” he added. “I was impressed by every player in that squad.”
He particularly named “Lukaku, Perisic and Eriksen. They’re not only phenomenal on the pitch, but also great people. And in general, everyone gave me valuable advice, which however I would not divulge here.”
Regarding the possibility of having a chance at Inter, Persyn said that “I would really like to. But we have to be realistic.”
“For this to happen I have to work hard,” he continued. “There are only top players at the Nerazzurri. And it’s not easy to play for Inter. I’ll have to give my all, then we’ll see…”
