Over 60,000 tickets have already been sold for Inter’s Serie A clash with Empoli at the San Siro next month.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that a significant portion of the tickets for the match have already been purchased.

The Nerazzurri’s past two matches at the San Siro have been either sold out completely, in the form of their clash with AC Milan which set attendance and gate receipt records for the Coppa Italia, or virtually sold out, as their Serie A clash with Roma was.

Fans have been allowed back in stadiums at full capacity since the lifting of restrictions in Italy at the start of the month, and now the team can play in front of potentially full houses at the climax of the season.

The anticipation is already building for the clash with Empoli, which could be a crucial match in Inter’s Serie A title pursuit, and the tickets are selling quickly.
