Former Inter defender Andrea Mandorlini feels that there is little to split Inter and AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, the former defender suggested that apart from a little more attacking quality on the part of the Nerazzurri, the two teams are completely evenly matched.

Inter are two points behind their city rivals but have the chance to go a point clear at the top if they win their game in hand against Bologna this evening.

The table paints a picture of two teams who have not been able to really break from each other decisively, and Mandorlini believes that this reflects the reality of things.

Both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have had moments of strengths as well as lapses in form in which they’ve faltered, but with only a few matches to go they remain closely bunched together at the top.

“After winning in Turin, Inter look like a different team,” he said. “But the victory in Rome I think has revitalized Milan as well.”

“The fixture list is now difficult on paper for Milan, but they’re two teams that have found form in the crucial moment,” he added.

“There’s no big difference between the two, but Inter creates and finishes more,” Mandorlini continued. “I think Inter have more cards to play in attack for Simone Inzaghi.”
