Inter defender Milan Skriniar is not expecting a straightforward match from the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Bologna this evening.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia before the match, the 27-year-old emphasized that the Rossoblu are a tough side to play against, especially at home.

Inter won the reverse fixture 6-1, but they needed to be at their best to produce a clinical first half which put the match beyond Bologna, who have shown that they have the quality to get a result from anyone in Serie A.

The Rossoblu are on a run of good form which has seen them get draws against the likes of AC Milan and Juventus, and a point potentially would not be enough for the Nerazzurri.

Inter will go top of the table with a win, but a draw would see them remain behind city rivals Milan with no games in hand, and they know that getting a win will be a very difficult task.

“We’re very motivated to win and take back top spot,” Skriniar said. “We have to got into it with the right motivation and focus to bring the three points back to Milan.”

“It won’t be easy,” he went on, “I remember that last year won but we had to suffer.”

Regarding Rossoblu strike pair Marko Arnautovic and Musa Barrow, Skriniar said that “The Austrian is strong and physical, he’s in good form right now.”

“We’ll have to be careful with both of them,” he added, “try to stay focused and negate them. We haven’t talked about anything in particular between us, each of us must find the right motivations within ourselves to win these matches.”
