Inter captain Samir Handanovic was supportive of backup goalkeeper Andrei Radu in today’s training session after the 24-year-old’s costly error in yesterday evening’s 2-1 loss to Bologna.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the captain has given the deputy goalkeeper his consolations, as have the rest of the team following yesterday’s disastrous first start of the season.

Radu was in tears after the final whistle of yesterday evening’s match, with the Romanian feeling that he had cost his team the match and potentially the Serie A title.

However, the rest of the team have done what they can to stress to him that mistakes happen and to try and pick himself up following the setback.

This includes the captain, who comforted Radu and urged him to think positively and put the incident behind it rather than dwelling on it and holding himself solely responsible for the result.
