Inter’s directors were in a sombre and disappointed mood as they left the stadium after yesterday evening’s 2-1 defeat to Bologna in Serie A.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the directors were as upset as anyone and spoke little after the highly damaging result.

Inter had gone into their Serie A clash with Bologna feeling that they had the opportunity to decisively take control of the chase for the Scudetto, but instead they handed a a major boost to AC Milan’s hopes.

Directors Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio, and Javier Zanetti were watching on from the stands at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, and their nervous mood was evident as the team struggled in their search for a winning goal.

After the shock of the late Bologna winner following an Andrei Radu error, the directors were left speechless and in a bad mood, with only Simone Inzaghi up to addressing cameras after the match.
