Inter are hoping that captain Samir Handanovic, defender Alessandro Bastoni, and captain Samir Handanovic can be fit in time to face Udinese over the weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the trio will have their physical conditions assessed today.

Handanovic withdrew from yesterday evening’s match against Bologna late through a lower back problem, whilst Bastoni was left out due to some muscular fatigue.

Andrei Radu and Federico Dimarco respectively started in place of the pair, and were unfortunate protagonists of a calamitous 2-1 defeat which leaves the Nerazzurri’s Serie A title hopes in major doubt.

Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal missed out through an ankle sprain which he had picked up during the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia clash with AC Milan, and he is likely to be back for the Udinese clash on Sunday, a potentially important inclusion given that Hakan Calhanoglu will be suspended.
