AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud has said that Inter’s defeat to Bologna on Wednesday has changed the Rossoneri team and they now have nowhere to hide, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Sport Mediaset, via FCInternews, the French striker explained that Inter’s defeat to Bologna has changed the mindset of the AC Milan squad going into the final four games of the season.

He said that they have nowhere to hide now which suggests that there could be more pressure on them as the team with a two-point lead at the top.

“I think we have everything to play for, we can no longer hide. We are very focused on Sunday’s match, the important thing is that Inter lost in Bologna: now we have destiny in our hands. We have to stay focused on us, but it’s true that their defeat has charged us. We need humility and confidence to keep winning every game.”

AC Milan had a very dramatic victory in their most recent game. Sandro Tonali scored a winner in stoppage time which means the Rossoneri now just need to win their remaining four games to clinch the Serie A title.

“With Lazio it was a crazy emotion. We knew it would be a great match, very important, we played very well but we missed a bit in the final phase. We believed in it until the end. As I always say, it happens to those who believe in it.”
