Inter backup goalkeeper Ionut Radu may never fully get over the mistake he made against Bologna on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been suggested by a report in La Repubblica, Ionut Radu should never have been playing against Bologna because it is clear that Simone Inzaghi does not have faith in him. He was only there because of the injury to Samir Handanovic.

Inter started the game very well and took the lead through a wonderful strike from Ivan Perisic. They continued to dominate until Marko Arnautovic scored a header which was completely against the run of play.

That knocked Inter off of their stride and then with not long left to play, Ionut Radu failed to control a pass from Ivan Perisic and the ball ran under his foot. It was on its way into the goal when Bologna forward Nicola Sansone poked it in.

The newspaper suggests that the guilt of the mistake may never actually leave Ionut Radu.
