Former Inter defender Luigi Garzya has said that Inter have been the most tried and tested team this season in Serie A, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, via FCInternews, Luigi Garzya suggested that Inter have shown themselves to be the best team in Serie A this season and it would be a shame if they then threw it all away at the end.

“Inter have lost a great opportunity in Bologna, with the victory the Scudetto would have been very close. This season they presented themselves as the most tried and tested team, it would be a shame to throw away the championship.

“This championship, however, is played on moments: Milan were lucky to win at the last match with Lazio, Inter were defeated because of that sensational error by Radu.”

The former defender is referencing the recent 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in which Inter took the lead but then appeared to lose concentration and let their opponent back into the game.

Despite clearly feeling that Inter have been the superior team this season, Luigi Garzya does not feel that AC Milan would be undeserving winners if they did find themselves lifting the trophy in May.

“They play well and have recovered the great contribution of the public. If the championship were to end like this, Pioli’s team would not have stolen anything.”
