Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani has said that Samir Handanovic should have shown some public support to Andrei Radu after his mistake against Bologna that led to a goal, according to a report on social media.

Speaking via his own Twitter page, Fabio Ravezzani criticised the Inter captain for failing to show any public support to Andrei Radu whilst the cameras were on him at the end of the match at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Wednesday night.

“In the sad affair of Radu (a casual but terrible injury for the psyche of a goalkeeper, and a young one at that) Handanovic’s word of support is completely missing. As a colleague and above all as captain he should have helped him publicly. Better than him, the Nord.”

The mistake in question was made by the Romanian backup goalkeeper when Inter were drawing 1-1 with the Rossoblu and searching for a vital winning goal.

Ivan Perisic had a throw-in near the corner flag and he opted to throw it back to Andrei Radu. He failed to control the ball and it ran underneath his foot and into the path of Nicola Sansone who was on hand to turn it into an empty net.
