The Mayor of Milan Beppe Sala has said that he lost sleep over Inter’s defeat to Bologna on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with Calcio e Finanza on the sidelines of an unveiling in Florence, Beppe Sala showed once again that he is a Nerazzurri fan.

“A favour from Mayor Nardella in view of Milan-Fiorentina tomorrow? Certainly, I would gladly ask for it but unfortunately, I am a pessimist. I suffer from football and the loss to Bologna made me sleep badly at night.”

Inter lost the game 2-1 having taken the lead in the first half and appeared to be in total control. Marko Arnautovic then grabbed a goal back for the Rossoblu against the run of play.

Ionut Radu’s high-profile error in the last 10 minutes led to Nicola Sansone scoring the winning goal and it leaves Inter two points behind AC Milan in the Serie A table.

Beppe Sala now feels that the Scudetto is going to end up in the hands of the Rossoneri come the end of the season.

“I think that the Scudetto unfortunately goes in the direction of Milan now.”
