Cagliari coach Walter Mazzarri has said that he is convinced his side can beat Inter as they must be convinced that they can beat everyone, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews from Walter Mazzarri’s most recent press conference, the coach explained that the Rossoblu must play their own game when they face Inter in the coming weeks and believe that they can get all three points against anyone.

“We had to win today and we will try to do it until the end of the season. I told the boys that we have to reset. We have to find ourselves, not thinking about whether we’re playing at home or away, and try to get points in every game. Even against Inter we have to play our game, we have to try and be convinced we can get a result.”

He then explained that he may change his tactics for that game against the Nerazzurri to be less aggressive. Simone Inzaghi will be listening closely to the comments of the experienced coach.

“Football is strange, Inter are a strong team, but we saw what Napoli did against Empoli. Maybe I’ll change my tactics, maybe we’ll be less aggressive. Today I spoke to the lads in the heat of the moment, I’ve never done that before and I hope it will recharge us for Salerno and Inter.”

Cagliari were beaten 2-1 by Hellas Verona at home today and given they are sitting just above the relegation zone, they need to start winning some games as soon as possible. The likes of Genoa and Salernitana are desperate to overtake them.
