Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is happy with what he saw from his forwards in this evening’s 2-1 Serie A win over Udinese.

Speaking in a press conference after the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the coach stressed that he is pleased with his entire squad and that he tries to get the best out of all his attacking options.

The Nerazzurri started the match with Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez in attack, and finished with a completely different pairing of Alexis Sanchez and Joaquin Correa leading the line for them.

Each of the four contributed what they could, including Martinez scoring what proved to be the winner in the first half, and the team saw out the three points.

For Inzaghi, having the possibility to rotate between the attackers is a positive thing, and an aspect of having a squad at his disposal which he considers to be of completely satisfactory quality.

“I’ve rotated between them all season,” the coach said of his attacking options, “only during the past month have I had all of them available, including Caicedo who was absent this week.”

“Now I have them all at my disposal and I have to try to rotate between all of them by choosing the right matches for each of them,” he added.

Regarding the condition of midfielder Nicolo Barella, who came off injured during the second half, Inzaghi said that “It would seem, from what doctors say, that it is a bad bruise.”

“We’re crossing our fingers because we know how important he is for us,” he added. “We await news but for now the signs are reassuring.”

On the rest of the season, he said that “There are still three games left to play, nine points, in my opinion everything is still open”

“It’s a good title race,” he added, “this time we’ll play first. I’m lucky enough to have a wonderful group that I’ve been very happy with since I joined.”
