Inter striker Edin Dzeko is aiming to win a league title in a third different league after the Bundesliga and the Premier League, and he could have the right credentials to carry his team over the line.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who note that the Bosnian has already scored important goals in the run-ins of successful title charges with Wolfsburg and Manchester City.

Dzeko helped lead Wolfsburg to a Bundesliga title in the 2008-09 season, and they were taken to the final day by Bayern Munich, who they finished two points ahead of.

The Bosnian scored six goals across Wolfsburg’s final three matches of the season as they crested in form right when they needed to most in order to secure the title.

At Manchester City, Dzeko won two Premier League titles, in 2012 and 2014, and he played an important role in both, including scoring in the Cityzens’ dramatic 4-3 win over Queens Park Rangers on the final day of their first title campaign of the Premier League era.

Now, the 36-year-old is aiming to do the same in the Italian top flight with Inter, and the Nerazzurri could be counting on his extensive experience in situations of this nature.
