Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella will be fit and available for selection for the team’s Serie A clash with Empoli on Friday.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 25-year-old could be ready to return to full training as early as tomorrow and that there is little risk of him missing out on the Empoli clash with his knee bruise.

Barella had to come off the pitch late during the second half of yesterday evening’s Serie A win over Udinese, with what was determined to be a bad bruise to his right knee.

However, it increasingly looks clear that the problem is not too serious and should not cause him to miss out on the match against Empoli.

The midfielder should be back in full training soon and could start alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Marcelo Brozovic in midfield when the Nerazzurri host the newly-promoted Tuscans in Serie A.
