Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella will be fit and available for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Empoli on Friday.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 25-year-old will not take long to recover from his knee injury and will be back in time for the match, while Alessandro Bastoni could also be back to fitness.

Barella picked up a bruise to his right knee during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Udinese, but there has not been any need for further tests as the problem has been observed to be nothing more serious than a bruise.

The midfielder is not yet back in training, but he should be ready to make his return soon, possibly back to full training as soon as tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Bastoni’s situation is more up in the air and the club are monitoring his physical condition day by day after some muscular fatigue, but he could also be back in time to face Empoli.
