Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is aiming to make his return from injury in the team’s Coppa Italia final clash with Juventus next Wednesday.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the team are optimistic 23-year-olds recovery process, although he is not likely to be available for the Serie A clash with Empoli on Frdiay.
Bastoni has missed out on the Nerazzurri’s past two matches, against Bologna and Empoli in Serie A, through a muscle strain which he picked up in training.
The 23-year-old’s recovery process is going well, and there is cautious optimism that a return to full fitness is shortly on the horizon.
However, it is not likely that Bastoni will be risked for the league match against Empoli later this week, with the plan being to have him back to start against the Bianconeri as Inter go in search of their first Coppa Italia trophy in eleven years.
