More than 65,000 tickets have already been sold for Inter’s Serie A clash with Empoli at the San Siro on Friday.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, via FCInterNews, who report that the match could see the San Siro sold out for the third match in a row with the Nerazzurri.

Inter’s last two home fixtures, against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia and then against Roma in Serie A, both saw the San Siro sold out, or virtually sold out in the case of the latter in which not all of the away tickets were sold.

They could make it a third in a row, with the Serie A clash with Empoli already looking to be close to a sellout given the massive significance of the clash.

The return of fans to stadiums in Italy has coincided with the most dramatic part of the season and the Nerazzurri are counting on their fans to urge them on in their remaining home matches.
