Former Udinese, Bologna, and Swansea City coach Francesco Guidolin feels that both Simone Inzaghi and Stefano Pioli would be deserving of a Scudetto win for their work this season.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, Guidolin gave the view that either coach would be well-merited in winning the Serie A title.

Both Inzaghi and Pioli look to have gotten the best out of the resources at their disposal this season, with the two coaches guiding their teams into the final stages of the title race despite financial restrictions faced at the club level.

The Rossoneri have the advantage going into the final three matches of the season, but everything is still to play for and either of the two coaches could lift the Scudetto for the first time in their career.

Guidolin is a fan of both and feels that whichever way the title goes in the end, it will be well-deserved.

Asked who he expects to win in the end, he said that “I don’t know, both Pioli and Simone Inzaghi would deserve it. He did very well to keep Inter’s level up despite the major departure of Conte.”
