Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are dreaming of building the team’s attack around Lautaro Martinez and Paulo Dybala next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri directors see the Argentine pair as perfect for Simone Inzaghi.

Dybala looks to be set to arrive at Inter on a free transfer this summer, and the 28-year-old will add something that the team has not had on a consistent basis this campaign, a Number Ten suitable to Inzaghi’s style of play.

The coach has used Joaquin Correa and Alexis Sanchez in the hole at times, but neither of these players have been consistently fit or in form, or gotten the best out of Martinez in the central striker role.

The directors feel, however, that with Dybala in the fold, they have identified a player who can both operate well in Inzaghi’s formation behind the striker and dovetail effectively with Martinez.

Marotta and Ausilio are convinced about Dybala being the way forward for next campaign and onward, and according to the Gazzetta, Martinez also features as a key part of their plans.
