Robin Gosens could make his first start for Inter in this Friday’s Serie A clash with Empoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the German is in contention with Ivan Perisic for the starting spot on the left to face the newly-promoted side.

Gosens has yet to make a start for the Nerazzurri since joining from Atalanta during the January transfer window, owing partly to injuries but mostly to the continued outstanding form of Perisic.

The Croat could once again be trusted to hold down the position in the starting position against Empoli, but coach Simone Inzaghi is also seriously considering putting his trust in Gosens.

Meanwhile, the coach is aiming for little rotation elsewhere in the squad, as he wants to play a strong team with consistency and rhythm.

Denzel Dumfries looks set to come back in for Matteo Darmian on the right, whilst in attack Joaquin Correa could take the place of Edin Dzeko in the starting eleven.
