Former AC Milan defender Gianluca Zambrotta has said that Inter must be careful in their match away at Cagliari next weekend, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gianluca Zambrotta picked out the fixture from AC Milan and Inter’s final three games that he thinks will be the most difficult for each of them.

For the Nerazzurri, he feels that the away game against Cagliari on the penultimate day of the season is one that Inter must be very careful about.

“Inter will have to be careful of Cagliari’s desire to survive.”

As for AC Milan, out of their remaining three games which are against Hellas Verona, Atalanta and Sassuolo, he feels that the first of the three is going to be tricky.

“The match in Verona on Sunday is a delicate one for Milan.”

In terms of who he thinks will eventually prevail, the fixture tells him it will be Inter but overall he thinks AC Milan appears like the strongest team at the moment.

“On paper, based on the calendar, I could say Inter. But, if I look at the standings and the enthusiasm of the moment, I say Milan: in addition to the advantage in the head-to-head matches, they arrive in good physical shape and have great enthusiasm.”
