Edin Dzeko and Danilo D’Ambrosio are expected to get the nod From Inter boss Simone Inzaghi to play against Empoli on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are only two slight doubts about Simone Inzaghi’s team selection for the match at San Siro.

The hardest decision is whether to partner Lautaro Martinez with Joaquin Correa or Edin Dzeko. The former appears to be bringing the best out of Lautaro Martinez but is carrying little goal threat.

It currently seems likely that Edin Dzeko will be given the nod and Joaquin Correa will be introduced later in the game.

Alessandro Bastoni is the only player out injured for Friday’s match and he is likely to be replaced by Federico Dimarco rather than Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Denzel Dumfries and Hakan Calhanoglu will return to the starting eleven after being absent against Udinese.
