Inter defender Milan Skriniar has said that the Nerazzurri showed that they are a strong team and they want to win the Coppa Italia final for the fans, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to Inter TV after the 4-2 victory over Empoli, via FCInternews, Milan Skriniar explained that Inter showed they are a very strong team by coming from two goals behind to take all three points.

“We took two slaps in the face, but I’m happy with the team’s reaction. You can see that we are a great team that has the strength to turn games around.”

Milan Skriniar played a role in the third Inter goal and he says he was happy to be able to help the team get all three points.

“My role is always to try to give my best and recover the ball, I’m happy that from this intervention was born the goal for the three points”.

Inter’s next game will be the Coppa Italia final against Juventus but the Slovakian says that for tonight they should just enjoy this victory.

“For tonight let’s enjoy this victory that was not taken for granted, from tomorrow we start to prepare the Italian Cup match. We all know what game awaits us.”

He did stress though that the team wants to win the tournament for both the colours of the shirt as well as the fans that have been cheering the Nerazzurri on.

“We are a very strong team, those who came in gave us a big hand. We are all on the ball, no matter who is playing or not. We all want to win for Inter and for these colours.

“The fans are incredible, we felt their support. Playing at San Siro is great, they are always by our side and they will be by our side on Wednesday too. We want to win the cup for them too.”
