Inter’s average attendance figures have now surpassed those of AC Milan as the Nerazzurri prepare for a third sell-out in a row, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, thanks to there being over 70,000 spectators heading to San Siro for Inter vs Empoli on Friday evening, Inter will surpass AC Milan’s figure of 42,400 spectators on average per home match.

The Empoli game is Inter’s third sell-out in a row since it was announced that stadiums can open at their full capacity rather than at 75%.

The Coppa Italia game against AC Milan was full and so was the league match against AS Roma. After the Covid-19 season, Inter’s losses from stadium revenue was €70 million. It is expected to be much below that this season.

The overall revenue figure for the season including box-office and corporate seating and all competitions is expected to be €40m.
