Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has said that Inter want to sell plenty of mid-level players this summer rather than a big player, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Telelombardia, via FCInter1908, Fabrizio Biasin dispelled the suggestion that Inter want to sell a big player for a large transfer fee this summer in order to balance the books and fund other moves.

“With Romelu Lukaku, Marotta didn’t want to sell him. It was Romelu who, one fine day in August, went to the directors and said: ‘Excuse me, I have agreed with Chelsea’. There’s little you can do there. I can assure you that Marotta and Ausilio wouldn’t have done that.

“As of today, Marotta does not want to sell Lautaro. He is not an option. Rather than selling a big player, Inter are looking to sell mid-level players: I’m thinking of Pinamonti, Satriano and Esposito, but there are 4-5 others.”

Andrea Pinamonti is a key part of Inter’s transfer strategy this summer as they see him as an expendable player that is worth €20 million. Not only that, clubs that possess players Inter want to sign are also interested in his services.

“Inter know they have a name in their hands that many clubs like: Sassuolo, Torino, there are many possibilities. If we compare him to Scamacca, he’s six months younger and has scored more goals in Serie A.

“He led Empoli to salvation and I think he can play good football. He is someone who can have a Belotti-like career. I don’t think he’ll make Inter’s squad. Scamacca is stronger, but not that much stronger.

“There are no non-transferable players, it depends on the offer and the substitutes. Everyone can be sold, but that’s true for all Serie A clubs.”

A player that Inter are heavily linked with is Juventus forward Paulo Dybala but Fabrizio Biasin feels that he is not actually Inter’s priority right now. That is why Gianluca Scamacca is more of a target although finances may be an issue.

“There are attempts, but not certainties. For me it’s more a no than a yes at the moment. Also because Dybala, at the moment, is not the priority of Inter, who are looking for a nine rather than a 10.

“The fact that Inter do not want to spend meaningless money for Scamacca is absolutely true. Inter are interested in Scamacca, but for human figures.”
