Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli has said that the best team won in Inter’s 4-2 victory over his side on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to DAZN after the 4-2 defeat, via FCInter1908, Aurelio Andreazzoli was gracious in defeat  as he admitted that the best team won and they created the most chances.

“Today the team that was the best and the team that created the most won.

Empoli were 2-0 up after half an hour with goals coming from Inter loanee Andrea Pinamonti and Albanian midfielder Kristjan Asllani. They then scored an own goal which got Inter back in with a chance and from there it felt inevitable that the Nerazzurri would take all three points.

“We hurt ourselves with the own goal, but in the end I think it would have ended the same way. These are games in which everything has to go right for you. We finished on our knees.”

Empoli’s second goalscorer is a player that Inter have been linked with in recent months and so have other big Serie A clubs.

Aurelio Andreazzoli feels that the player must continue playing as he is because the path is marked out for a great career.

“Asllani? He has to continue like this, the path is marked out.”
