Inter are interested in signing Bologna midfielder Jerdy Schouten, though the player’s €15 million price tag could put them off.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Dutchman is seen by the Nerazzurri as having the ideal profile to deputize for Marcelo Brozovic at the base of midfield.

Schouten has been among the outstanding young players for Bologna this season, with the 25-year-old having particularly shone during the second half of the season for the Rossoblu.

Given the Dutchman’s combination of defensive attributes and qualities in possession he could be an ideal candidate to deputize for Brozovic in the Nerazzurri’s squad, a priority for the summer transfer window given the lack of a player with that profile.

However, the Rossoblu are firm on their asking price of €15 million for the midfielder, and this would likely be too much for Inter to make a move for him in the summer.
