Cagliari coach Alessandro Agostini knows that Inter will be an extremely tough opponent for his team but expects that they will fight hard for a result next weekend.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after his team’s dramatic 1-1 draw against Salernitana, the coach emphasized the role that their collective spirit can play in the outcome of the match.
On paper, the Nerazzurri are a clear mismatch for Cagliari, having taken more than twice as many points as the Rossoblu this season as well as beating them 4-0 in the reverse fixture.
However, just as the Nerazzurri will be motivated by the desire to fight for the Scudetto, Agostini’s men will feel that they absolutely must get a result given that they currently sit in the relegation places.
The Rossoblu snatched a draw deep into extra time away to Salernitana earlier today, but their job is far from done and they must approach their clash with Inter with all their quality and intensity to keep the momentum up.
