Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is ready to consider his future but only after the season is finished, amid transfer links to Inter for the summer.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after his team’s 1-1 draw with Udinese in Serie A yesterday, the 23-year-old admitted that he’s thinking about how he wants to head into next season.
Scamacca has been one of the outstanding young players for Sassuolo this season, with the young striker taking a step up with the Neroverdi after showing promise across several loan spells.
The 23-year-old has marked himself out as a major transfer target for teams in Serie A as well as abroad, with the Nerazzurri reportedly foremost among them as they see him as the right player to replace Edin Dzeko in the long term.
The player has not yet made up his mind about what his future holds, as he considers the next step in his career.
“After the last match of the season, I’ll take stock and start thinking about my future,” he said.
“I don’t read or listen to rumours,” he added, “journalists write different things every day. We’re just thinking about the best ending for the season.”
