Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi believes that there is no process underway for Saudi oil company Aramco to purchase Inter from Suning.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, as reported by FCInter1908, Barzaghi addressed rumours that Aramco are interested in a potential takeover of the Nerazzurri.

Inter have been linked with a sale for some time given the precarious situation of current owners Suning in charge of the club and the financial difficulties experienced by both the Nerazzurri and by Suning’s parent company.

One of the strongest and most persistent links has been to Saudi fund the PIF, however, up to now nothing has come of the rumoured interest of the fund in taking over.

Recently, Aramco have emerged as another company which could potentially take over at the Nerazzurri, and reports have suggested that a process could be underway to facilitate a sale.

However, Barzaghi believes that as of now there is nothing serious, stating that “I’ve looked into it further. My sources have indicated that no due diligence has occurred and denied that there may be any change in the owners.”
