Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has gained a reputation as something of a cup specialist, and he will have to hope that this trend can continue in the team’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus on Wednesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlight the 46-year-old’s seven wins from nine cup finals so far in his career.

Inzaghi began his coaching career with Lazio’s Primavera team, with whom he won two Coppa Italia finals and a Supercoppa Italiana, whilst with the Biancocelesti senior team he won one Coppa and two Supercoppas.

In his first cup final with the Nerazzurri, the 46-year-old succeeded in the Supercoppa Italiana against Juventus in January, prevailing 2-1 in a dramatic match that went to extra time.

Now the coach will have to call upon his record in cup finals yet again, in the hopes that he can guide Inter to their first Coppa Italia win in eleven years.
