Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is aiming to be back in the starting eleven for Wednesday evening’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus, and trained with the rest of the squad today.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 23-year-old is pushing himself in training to be ready for the match due to its importance for the team’s season.
Bastoni is still feeling some discomfort from the calf problem that kept him out of the Nerazzurri’s last three matches against Bologna, Udinese, and Empoli in Serie A.
However, he is back in full training, and today’s training session should be decisive for determining whether he will be in the right condition to start against the Bianconeri.
The feeling is that Bastoni would not be risked for most matches, but because it is a Coppa Italia final he is determined to start the match and so will do everything that he can to be available in time.
