Former Inter and Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo is hoping that that the Nerazzurri can prevail in Wednesday evening’s Coppa Italia, and also win the Serie A title.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, Melo stated that he is rooting for the Nerazzurri across the two remaining competitions they’re in even though he expects that both will be tricky.

The Nerazzurri have just three matches left to play this season, but they have virtually everything to play for between the Coppa Italia and the Serie A title, with each match potentially season-defining.

Melo is not only a former player for the Nerazzurri but also has supported them since his childhood, so he has no doubt about having Inter sympathies as the Italian football season comes to a climax.

Of the Serie A title race between Inter and their city rivals AC Milan, he said that “I’ve been an Inter fan since childhood and so I hope that they win, but I think Milan will win because there are only two matches left.”

Melo also gave his thoughts on Wednesday evening’s Coppa Italia final, stating that “I will support Inter. Something happened with Juve that I didn’t like at all – why did they let Dybala go?”

“Let’s hope he comes to Inter, he’s a real world-class player,” he added. “I don’t understand Juve’s choice, so watch out for Dybala in the final because he’ll want to leave his mark.”
